Denver still has one of the best records in the NFL, still leads the AFC West, and is STILL the No. 1 seed. This loss? A blessing in disguise.
The Jaguars were better that day—cleaner, sharper, more disciplined. No need to blame the refs. Denver beat themselves with missed tackles, turnovers, drops, and a secondary that clearly missed Brandon Jones. You don’t win 11 straight by accident. This is a good football team that needed a reality check…and will respond.
Injuries to Pat Bryant and Dre Greenlaw complicate things, but Bo Nix will learn from the moment and Bryant will be okay. Resting Greenlaw until the playoffs makes sense—Denver needs him when it matters.
Now it’s bounce-back season. A third-string QB, a Chiefs team with nothing to play for, and then the Chargers at home. Win out, win the AFC West. Simple.
And Chargers fans…you haven’t won anything yet. Before celebrating Denver’s L, maybe remember you couldn’t score on the Jags either—and gave up even more points. Job’s not done. Focus on the Texans.
